Frankel Vs. Black Caviar

Endorsed as the “world best racehorse”, onlookers at the Royal Ascot should expect a lot from Frankel as he faces off against thus far undefeated Black Caviar in the 1,200-metre Diamond Jubilee Stakes. Thus far, Frankel has proven to be tough to beat,  with 10 back-to-back wins in the Queen Anne Stakes over 1,600 metres. Ten others will face off against these titans in the lineup, but sources say Black Caviar will be the horse to watch when these two take to the field.

Hey all! Since I will be graduating May 18, I will no longer be focusing in on Goucher-specific equestrian themes and events. As a result, I will be switching things up a little bit, starting with the name of this blog. Effective May 18, 2012 this blog will be renamed simply ‘Unbridled’ I feel that this transition, like my transition from college student to optimistic graduate are necessary steps to helping this blog mature and evolve into something better. Healing Hooves 2012 Wins An Award

…And raises a little under $11,000 too!

Healing Hooves 2012, a fundraising initiative hosted by the equestrian team at Goucher College was nominated for and won the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association‘s (otherwise known as IHSA) National Service Project Award this May 5th at the IHSA National Championships in Raleigh, NC.
